central government is inviting online applications for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PMSYM) at maandhan.in for informal workers. Under this PMSYM scheme, the Govt. will provide Rs. 3,000 monthly as a pension for all workers in the unorganized sector. PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana 2022
The direct benefit pension plan for workers in the unorganized sector, namely PM Shram Yogi Maandhan (PMSYM) plan, has already been launched on February 15, 2019. For this amount of pension under PMSYM, the workers will have to do certain contributions. People with less than Rs. 15,000 monthly income can contribute a fixed monthly amount (as in the pension table) until the age of 60, while the central government would put an equal amount.
The Union government has allocated Rs 5 billion for this social security yojana and has started inviting PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana online application form. This mega pension plan would cover around 42 million majdoor workers, including rickshaw pullers, rag pickers and other small-scale workers.
For the large workforce in India, the central government. launches Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Scheme 2022. Like social security plans for employees of the organized sector, the central government. has now started the PMSYM scheme to provide post-retirement pension to workers in the unorganized sector.
PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Scheme Application Registration / Online Form
Below is the complete procedure to do online registration for PM Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana 2022:-
STEP 1: All beneficiaries must visit the CSCs with mandatory information. (See CSC Locator)
STEP 2: They will visit the official online portal of PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Pension Yojana at https://maandhan.in/
STEP 3: On the home page, they need to click on the “Click here to apply now” link as shown below:
STEP 4: You will then be directed to the “Digitalseva Connect” Portal which will be operated by the common service service operator.
STEP 5: CSC will then enroll the beneficiaries and the fee will be calculated based on the age criteria. The 1st installment would be deducted through the CSC wallet and subscribers will have to pay in cash.
STEP 6: After successful payment, a Shram Yogi Pension Number will be generated online. In addition, an acknowledgment of receipt mandate will be generated for the beneficiary’s signature.
STEP 7: The Common Services Centers will scan and upload the signed debit mandate of the beneficiaries. CSC will then print and deliver the Shram Yogi card to recipients.
STEP 8: After confirmation from the bank, the debit mandate will be activated along with SMS communication to the beneficiary. The complete process to apply online for PM Shramyogi Mandhan Pension Yojana is shown below:-

Eligibility Criteria
All candidates who wish to register or wish to apply for the PMSYM scheme must first verify eligibility. Candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria to be eligible for PM Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana (PM-SYM):-
A) All beneficiaries must be between 18 and 40 years of age.
B) The candidate’s income must be less than Rs. 15000 monthly salary and must be working in Private Sector or self employed.
c) he must not be an income tax payer.
D) Applicants must not be involved in the organized sector with membership of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) / National Pension Scheme (NPS) / Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
E) It is compulsory to have a savings bank account for individual.
F) He/She must possess the number of Aadhar.
Pension scheme based on age
PMSYM Yojana 2022 is an age-based pension plan that depends entirely on the starting age of the PMSYM subscriber. Someone who is 30 years old will have to make a monthly contribution of Rs. 105 until the age of 60 years. In that case if any individual has paid an amount suppose it be 38k approx then govt body will also pay the same amount.
This PM Shram-Yogi Maandhan Yojana is a mega pension plan that aims at the welfare of workers in the unorganized sector. Therefore, people should inform and guide workers to take advantage of this PMSYM scheme. With IMPS and other modes of digital payments, people can even consider starting to make contributions on behalf of the people who work for you.
Highlights of PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana (PM-SYM):
Now each of the workers in the unorganized sector will get a guaranteed minimum pension of Rs. 3000 per month.
To avail the benefits of PMSYMY, the person’s salary must not exceed Rs. 15000 per month.
To avail benefits under PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana 2020, each worker must make a contribution of Rs. 55 to Rs. 200 monthly depending on his/her age.
All applicants would get this amount after reaching retirement age i.e. 60 years.
Family Pension: During the receipt of the pension, if the subscriber dies, then the spouse of the beneficiary will be entitled to receive 50% of the pension received by the beneficiary as a family pension. The family pension applies only to the spouse.

PM Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana Cards
The PMSYM scheme is voluntary and works with contributions made by subscribers, which are matched with government contributions in a 50:50 ratio. These contributions increase with the age of the subscribers and the amount of the first month’s contribution is paid in cash, for which a receipt is also given to the subscriber. Cards with unique identification numbers are issued to all plan subscribers.
